Rusk Cottage before renovation

Rusk Cottage 2011

The office building is of historical interest and enhances the village atmosphere of Walkerville.
It is within one of the original Rusk Cottages.
Built in the 1840s it was saved from demolition by spirited community action. Without the protests of those interested in preserving a piece of South Australia’s heritage it would have been lost forever.
Walkerville Village’s unique and historical character attracted Margaret Graham-King to open offices within its precinct.
The local community has a strong sense of Walkerville’s past and has undertaken action to preserve its past and retain its attractive attributes.
